Restream has been doing multistreaming longer than almost anyone. You connect your networks, you send one stream, and it arrives everywhere. There is a browser studio, there is chat, there is scheduling. If that is the whole of the job, Restream does it and does it reliably.
The question worth asking is not which multistreamer is better. It is whether distribution is the job, or the first step of it.
Distribution is the same shape. One stream leaves your room and is fanned out to the networks you ticked, so your upload does not grow with the number of destinations. Both products work this way. Anyone claiming a fundamental advantage here is selling you something.
What happens after the stream ends. This is the real difference. The recording stays in the same product: it opens in a multi-track editor with colour correction, chroma key, keyframes and transitions; it can be transcribed with a timestamp on every word; it can be translated and captioned with more than eighty caption designs, exported as SRT, VTT or ASS or burned into the picture; and vertical clips can be cut from it automatically. With a multistreamer you get a file and then you open three other applications.
Hebrew and right-to-left. Not a nice-to-have here, but the case the caption engine was built around: word-level timing, direction marks so punctuation lands on the correct side, and a Hebrew-capable font substituted automatically when a Latin-only design is chosen. Most tools in this category treat right-to-left as an afterthought, and it shows in the exported file.
Bringing an external switcher in. Every broadcast exposes an RTMP, RTMPS or SRT address and key, so OBS, vMix or a client's own gallery can feed the same distribution. Restream also accepts RTMP; the difference is what is waiting on the far side.
The studio itself. Multiple cameras with a staging-then-take switch, a phone used as a second camera, screen share, chroma key with an eyedropper, a virtual background processed in the browser, a logo or animated overlay, lower thirds, a news ticker, and mix-minus so a guest never hears themselves on a delay. If the broadcast is the deliverable and it ends when you press stop, a dedicated multistreamer is a clean, well-understood tool and Restream is a good one. If the broadcast is raw material — if what you actually need is the episode, the translated captions and the six clips that come out of it — then the fan-out is the least interesting part of the problem, and it is worth choosing on what happens afterwards.
